In this article, we’ll cover how to craft the perfect AI prompt for creating automations. We’ll explore complex prompts and learn how to build awesome automations without needing a marketer's help.

Topics:

Creating Automation with AI

AI isn’t always a magic solution, and not all funnels need to be created with it. For instance, ChatPlace has ready-made templates for 90% of tasks that may arise during your work:

  • Subscription checks

  • Live broadcasts

  • Story mentions

  • ChatGPT

For standard scenarios, you’ll likely find a template that suits your needs—saving you time by selecting and customizing it.

For non-standard tasks and funnels, templates may not be enough. This is where AI-driven automation comes in, allowing you to create new funnels using AI.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Automations section and click “Create with AI.”

  2. Select the account you want to use and name your automation.

  3. A window labeled “Write a Prompt” will open, where the magic happens.

Describe the funnel you need. Outline the automation requirements and how it should function. A simple example could be: “Check if a user has subscribed to my account X and give them a lead magnet. Here’s the link to the lead magnet: [link].”

After clicking "Generate Automation," the AI will process the request and produce a ready-to-use funnel. You can review and launch it immediately.

Note: For Instagram accounts, the entire profile, bio, and all posts are scanned, which helps the AI understand what the account is about, what it sells, and its Tone of Voice (ToV).The texts will be more tailored to your business.

For Telegram channel, add any relevant channel information that you consider important for followers, as profile details don’t automatically populate.

Once generation is complete, you'll have a prototype automation ready. Prototypes are functional and interesting, but adjustments may be needed. In just a couple of minutes, you can fine-tune the funnel and make it ready to go.

In our example, a simple prompt was used to generate a subscription-check funnel that provides a lead magnet. Users must subscribe to the specified channel and click a button. The chatbot checks the subscription and sends the link.

Everything’s ready — Just add the links and activate the automation.

Don’t forget to set the trigger for your new automation:

How to Write a Prompt

There are different ways to write prompts:

  1. Basic Prompt: Straightforward and simple, such as “check subscription.” This type will follow the steps exactly as outlined.

  2. Advanced Prompt: Provides richer and more valuable responses but takes longer to write. Although it requires more effort, it results in a higher-quality and more engaging funnel.

For a more complex bot that checks subscriptions and delivers a lead magnet, you might specify:

  • A welcome message and an “I want it” button.

  • Tagging for “clicked I want it.”

  • Subscription check.

  • Delivery of a podcast link via a button.

  • Conversion tracking.

  • Delay of X hours.

  • Suggestion to subscribe to a Telegram channel.

To add a delay in the funnel through a prompt:
[Add a delay of X minutes, then send this message: “ ”]

The more details you include in your prompt, the better and more refined your funnel will be.

Once you’re finished, generate the automation and wait about 30-40 seconds, or slightly longer during busy periods.

Generation is complete. The AI has fully created a template based on your prompt—everything you specified has been turned into a chatbot template. You can review it and launch it immediately.

However, it’s a good idea to carefully read through each message and button to check for any errors or inconsistencies in the logic. Now, you have a new funnel, and you didn’t even need a marketer.

You can do anything you want with the result. For example, you can rearrange blocks, rewrite messages and button labels, modify conditions, or add anything else necessary for the template.

How to Create a Prompt for a Complex Funnel in ChatPlace

Start as usual—select your account and open the prompt window. Then, break down each part of the prompt:

For example:

[Write a marketing sequence for a Telegram bot with 5-7 messages to warm up leads for my course on ChatGPT for social media content creation.]

Essentials: Clearly outline the product, message volume, and purpose of the sequence. Add specifics to influence the sequence creation, like:

[Each message should end with a button that confirms interest.]

Buttons: Explain that the user will click to confirm interest, which leads them to the next block.

[Skip subscription check. For the final button, include a call-to-action with this link.]

Links and Verification:
Let’s say we don’t need to check bot subscriptions, so there’s no verification. You can directly include the course link in the funnel—it will be visible on a button or within the text. Now, let’s specify:

[The sequence includes the following elements: grabbing attention, describing the problem, presenting the product, providing proof and case studies, promising future results, a call to action, and a final confirmation message.]

Sequence Elements:
Outline what you want in the sequence. For example, some might skip the product introduction, while others may focus entirely on the call to action. Next, we’ll write:

[The sequence should be clear and engaging for people looking to promote themselves on social media.]

Target Audience:
Specify so the AI understands the intended audience and what style to use. You can also include:

[Use an emotional trigger: relief from solving problems.]

Emotional Triggers:
Options include fear of missing out (FOMO), relief from solving a problem, a sense of opportunity, and the desire to succeed.

Once everything is ready, review the prompt and click “Generate Automation.”

Example of a complex prompt

We ended up with 6 comprehensive messages, each filled with motivational and helpful content, guiding the user to the course purchase and payment link. It’s a practical, effective funnel that drives users to buy the course. You can further enhance it using the “Improve with AI” feature.

You’ll notice a significant difference between the first and second sequences. It’s clear the second prompt is more refined and accurate. Now, it’s just a matter of learning how to craft such prompts for everyone who isn’t a marketer or hasn’t worked with AI before. The bonus is that you can create and launch a ready-to-go funnel in just a couple of minutes.

How to Create Effective Prompts if You’re Not a Marketer

With a solid prompt, you can achieve remarkable results that others might not even anticipate.

Earlier, we looked at a detailed example of a quality prompt. Crafting one requires marketing knowledge and an understanding of funnels.

If you lack that knowledge, you can use an AI like ChatGPT or another neural network to create the prompt for you.

Assign the AI the role of a marketer to ensure it operates in the right style. Ask it to create a 6-7 message sequence that warms up leads and concludes with a sale. Trying to write this yourself might result in a clumsy text if you’re not a copywriter or marketer. AI can produce a good, clear prompt, leaving you with only about 10% of the funnel to personalize.

How to Write:

[Create an ideal prompt as a marketer for a warm-up sales message sequence with specifics, examples, and student case studies as social proof, ending with a call-to-action to buy a course on ChatGPT for social media creation and promotion. Write for target audience X.]

You’ll need to specify the target audience since you’re familiar with them.

Send the request and wait. If the result is satisfactory, you can copy and paste it into the prompt. AI can also generate a prompt with example text. But here, let’s ask it differently:

[Write what each block should include, just the themes and content, without the full text.]

Insert the resulting prompt into ChatPlace and request the funnel generation. Within a minute, you’ll have an automation ready to launch. Doing this manually would take at least an hour.

Note: It’s normal to rewrite and refine prompts a few times when working with AI.

The Ideal Prompt for a Funnel

To create an ideal prompt, ask the AI to act as a guide for ChatGPT. The AI will prepare suggestions and help craft the best prompt. For example:

[Act as a prompt guide for ChatGPT. I’ll specify what I need, and you’ll create a suggestion to get the most desired response from ChatGPT. In each suggestion, ask ChatGPT to “act as [role],” such as “act as a lawyer.” The suggestion should be detailed and based on what I’m asking to get the best answer from ChatGPT. Enhance and expand my requests to ensure the final suggestion gives the most useful and positive response from ChatGPT. Place all variables in square brackets. Here’s the prompt I want to receive: {Write our ChatGPT request here}]

We hope this information helps you save time by generating automations with AI, freeing you from hours of funnel logic and message writing.
