Why doesn't my automation work?

If you have built an automation and run it, but it doesn't work - there might be several separate reasons for this:

1. You forgot to turn on the automation (it happens).

2. Subscription has not been paid or the trial period has expired.

You can check this in your personal account in the Subscription section.

3. Incorrectly configured start trigger.

If several keywords or phrases are used, you should press "Enter" after each unique trigger. The trigger should not contain anything unnecessary. Remove unnecessary characters and spaces.

4. Instagram business account is not fully customized or some changes were made and Facebook broke the connection with the integration.

If the tariff is active, but there is no starting on a trigger - we recommend checking the account for operability.

To do this, you need to create a new Automation from scratch:

Come up with a name and connect the account:

Do not change anything in it, only set the trigger:

Next, write from another account in Direct this trigger word. Make sure that there was previously a dialog with this account and it did not get into the “Requests” folder.

When testing, there should be a response: "First message".

If there is not - you need to check the account settings, more details in this article.

5. A situation when the bot is launched and works perfectly well, but there are users whose bot does not respond to the trigger.

This can be encountered when using Story Mention as a trigger.

The bot with such a trigger will run for all users with an open Instagram account. But, if the user's account is closed, then, due to privacy settings, Instagram will not transmit information about such a story. Respectively - the bot will not receive information that the trigger action has been performed and will not start.

*If you run a game in which you award points for tagging your account in stories - be sure to specify it in the rules of the game, so that the user opens his account at least for the duration of the game.

6. The user is in the "Requests" folder.

If the user has not had any dialogs with you before and he was not subscribed to your account - he can get into the "Requests" folder. In this case, the bot will not receive his messages and will not be able to respond, even if there was a trigger.
