The feature of sending circles in Telegram, also known as round video notes, has several very useful aspects:

  1. Making communication easy - video messages allow you to convey information, emotions and moods quickly and without major efforts. It is more difficult to pass the up to date or urgent information through text messages.

  2. Saving time - recording and (on the side of a subscriber) viewing a short video message can take less time than composing, writing and (on the side of a subscriber) reading a long text. This is especially useful when you need to convey something urgent or briefly describe the essence of further dialog.

  3. Taking less screen space - circles take up less of a chat space than regular video messages, allowing you to use the chat sparingly and not to overload it.

  4. Making communication personal: video messages allow the client to see your face. This adds a personal, live element and helps to convey emotions through intonations and facial expressions.

If a Telegram user has a ban on accepting audio or video messages - the automation will be interrupted. To avoid this - use the Condition: Client Data before sending a file with a check for an Action ban.

Sending circles via Telegram bot:

To send a video circle via Telegram bot - first prepare a file.

The main requirements for the correct function operation are:

  • Maximum video length 60 seconds

  • Video format .mp4, and maximum weight 20MB

  • Square video size with rounded edges

Tip: Record a video note (circle) in Telegram, then save it to your device for later use.

When the file is ready to use, open the desired automation and add the video circle to it:

  1. Create a new Message block:

2. Click Add Content and select the content: Video Note

3. Click Add Video Note, make sure the file fits the requirements, then click on the Ok, upload video Button

4. Select the prepared video file, wait for it to upload

5. Done - now your Telegram bot can send video notes.

If the video note appeared in a bot as a regular square video with white corners - it means that the wrong file format had been used.

Convert the file or record a new video via the Telegram app, save it to your device and add this file to your automation.
