Voice messages are a fast and convenient way to communicate. When you send voice messages through a chatbot, you create the feeling of real, live conversation — making the interaction more personal and engaging for your audience.
How to send voice messages
Open the automation builder.
Create a new Message block.
Click Add Content and select Audio.
Upload an audio file from your device.
🔔 Important:
The file size must not exceed 20 MB.
Supported formats: .m4a or .wav
What to do if the audio does not play in Direct or doesn’t send at all?
Unfortunately, this issue can occur for anyone. Instagram does not support many audio formats or codecs, so we strongly recommend testing your audio file manually before launching an automation.
If the audio does not play in Direct, or the message does not send, convert the audio file to a different format or bitrate.

Set Bitrate: 128k
Convert the file
Once the conversion is complete, upload the new file into your automation 👌
These settings are the most compatible with Instagram. In most cases, audio messages work correctly after conversion.
