With the help of this automation, you can grant certain bonuses only to followers. In case the user is not your follower, the automation will check it and offer them to follow your Instagram account, so that they can also get a bonus.

All changes are saved in real time, so all you have to do is edit this template to suit your needs. This article describes how to create and launch this type of template, as well as the basic steps that can be used for its customization.

The article content:

I. Choosing the template and setting up multiple clicks.

To find the “Check tags and subscription” template, click on the "Automation" section, find the "Choose template" option under the “Ready-made templates” block, and click on it. Then, scroll down to find and select the “Check tags and subscription” template:

All buttons work once by default; if a user has already clicked on a button, the chain will not be triggered again. This is done to avoid chain duplication.

You can enable multiple clicks for those buttons that are able to check certain conditions several times, for example, when verifyng a subscription.

To do this, click on the button, and the settings menu will appear to the right:

You can edit the reminder that the user did not click on the button in the first post by the timing you need — the rest is already configured.

When users click on the button, they receive a tag. If there is a delay, the condition will check whether any tag exists: when there is none, the user did not click on the button, and the system will send them a reminder. The same tag must be selected in both the condition and the action.

*Please note that the reminder for the first post will not work in an automation running from a comment, since comments do not activate the 24-hour dialog box.

You can now customize the option of starting this automation — select the appropriate trigger in the top right corner of the screen by clicking on the "Set start triggers" button:

II. Adjusting the template.

The basic template is ready to use, but you can edit it to improve your users’ experience.

2.1 Changing the image.

If you want to replace or delete the picture, hover over the object, and a delete icon will appear. Click on it, and add new content if you want:

2.2 Adding a quick transition to the profile for those not following.

Create a new block by clicking on the blue icon on the panel to the right of the screen and choose "Message":

Click on the "Add Content" button and choose "Text + Quick Replies" to make the link or mention clickable in the text:

In the text field, write your account username using “@”:

2.3 Fixing those who followed after the launch of automation.

Create a new block by clicking on the blue icon on the panel to the right of the screen and choose "Action":

Select the "Add tags" action and come up with a name for the tag that you will associate with the user action, for example, "Followed":

Create a tag by tapping its title and confirming this action.

You can then rearrange the sequence of actions in the chain. For example, remove the link arrow between the condition with subscription verification and the bonus, and place the action item you just created in between:

Now anyone who was not a follower, but followed your account after running the automation and clicking the "Done✅" button will get a "follower" tag.

To track down such users, you need to open the "Chats" section, set the "Uncategorized" parameter, open filters, and select the tag you need:

2.4 Fixing and tracking any user actions.

With the help of tags, you can record any user actions and track those who, for example, clicked on your link.

Click on the button to open its settings, and enable click tracking. After that, you can assign tags on clicks performed on the selected button. Turn this option on, too, and create a tag for this type of an action:

After these actions, you will be able to see all users who clicked on your link in the "Chats" section — just apply filtering by the previously created tag.

2.5 Setting up the number of times for showing a message.

This template will help you to choose how many times a user may receive the same message. You can restrict users from getting a bonus again, and if they perform the trigger action for the second time, they will receive another type of message you can set.

Start with creating a new block by clicking on the blue icon on the panel to the right of the screen and choose "Condition":

Select the "Assigned tags" condition, and choose the tag assigned to users received when they click on the link button from the list:

After that you need to set this condition as the beginning of a chain — hover on the top portion of the block and click on the first icon that pops up above it:

Connect this condition to all message variants. If you do not have a message to show in case a user has already performed an action and received their bonus, create one.

Thus, in case the condition is not met (no tag obtained), send a user to complete the chain, if it is (tag obtained) — send a new message.

III. Launching the template.

To publish the automation, go back to the list of automations and turn it on:
