How to connect a TikTok account

Important TikTok restrictions

Before connecting, please note:

🌍 Integration is not available for all accounts.

This is due to TikTok’s restrictions, not ChatPlace’s.

✅ Works with:

  • Only Business accounts

  • Accounts registered outside the USA, European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

⛔️ Does not work with:

  • Accounts from these regions

  • Messages from users in these regions

  • Example: Your account is registered in Brazil, but the client messages from France → automation will not work.

ℹ️ The account’s country of registration is taken into account.

For example, if users are using VPNs but the account is registered in Russia or Kazakhstan — it will work fine.

How to check your account’s region

  1. Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.

  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings and privacy → Account → Account information.

  4. The account region will be listed there.

  • If your region is not on the restricted list — you can connect it.

  • If the region is not displayed → this usually applies to CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) accounts. There are no restrictions for them, but the functionality can only be checked after connecting. If the account is set up correctly, but automations do not work, unfortunately, the region of the account is not supported.

How to switch your account to Business

  1. Go to your profile → three horizontal lines → Settings and Privacy.

  2. Open Account → Switch to Business Account.

  3. Follow the instructions from TikTok. After the message “You're all set,” your account will be switched.

How to check if you have a Business Account

  1. Open your TikTok profile → three horizontal lines.

  2. If the menu includes “Business Suite” → you already have a business account.

Connecting your TikTok account to ChatPlace

  1. Log in to TikTok through your browser in advance (this is important).

  2. Log in to ChatPlace.

  3. Go to the Automations section.

  4. In the account list, click “+”.

  5. Select TikTok Channel.

  6. Click “Continue with TikTok”.
    ​

You will be redirected to TikTok’s official site to grant permissions.

  • Confirm the access.
    ​

  • After confirmation, TikTok will automatically return you back to ChatPlace.

✅ Done! Your account is now connected! 🎉

You can now:

  • Create automations for TikTok

  • Set up AI Agents

  • Collect data and work with clients.
