If you see an error saying that the account is already connected to another project, this means the account is currently linked to a different ChatPlace project (another workspace/account).

How the error looks:

  1. When connecting through Instagram:

2. When connecting through Facebook:

To connect the account to a new ChatPlace project, you must first remove it from the previous one:

  • Log in to the previous project.

  • Open Settings.

  • Select the account you want to disconnect.

  • Click “Remove account.”

⚠️ Important: Removing the account is irreversible. This action deletes all connected clients, automations, growth tools and chats linked to this account.

After deleting the account from the previous project, it will become available for connection in the new ChatPlace project.

Important - you can disconnect an account ONLY via ChatPlace. It is not possible to disconnect an account through Facebook or Instagram.

If you don’t know the password to the previous project, use the recovery instructions in this article.

If you don’t remember which project the account is connected to, contact The ChatPlace Technical Support and provide the @username of the account. A specialist will identify where the account is connected.

If you remember the project but don’t have access to it, contact The ChatPlace Technical Support. You will need to complete a short verification process to confirm ownership of the account. After successful verification, the account will be disconnected remotely.

⏳ Please note: remote disconnection may take some time.

If you have outstanding interaction charges - if your project has an unpaid balance for interactions, you will need to settle the debt before the account can be disconnected. Please contact The ChatPlace Technical Support for payment assistance.
